Situated on the Mur River, Graz is the second largest city in Austria. Designated a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1999, Graz has a long tradition as a student city with six universities that enroll over 44,000 students. The "Old Town" is one of the best preserved city centers in Central Europe.
We really enjoyed our stay in Graz. The city is immaculately clean, the people very friendly and the food is fantastic. Since we were only there a short time, the main thing we wanted to see was the
Schloss Eggenberg which is considered one of the most valuable assets of Austria.
