Located at the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital of British Columbia, Canada. It is a major tourism destination seeing more than 3.65 million visitors per year.

Victoria has a temperate climate that is usually described as Oceanic or Marine West Coast. The average rainfall is Victoria is only about 23 inches which makes it one of the sunniest cities in Canada.

One of the main tourist destinations in Victoria is Butchart Gardens which is just north of the city on the Saanich Peninsula. It is also home to one of the grande dames of Canadian hotels, The Empress, located right on the harbor and very close to the Parliament Building.
